Grins & Squiggles Summer Safari Recap...

Our 1st themed Grins & Squiggles was a success! Six PAT families joined us for our safari adventure. The kids shook their sillies out, and we had a brief discussion about safari animals.

Then, the crafts began! We made a fingerprint giraffe and a CD elephant. Our parents were encouraged to discuss colors, shapes, counting, and sorting during craft time:

The kids were very proud of their accomplishments:

We rounded out the evening with a couple of animal-themed stories and a snack of apple juice and animal crackers. Again, parents were encouraged to utilize snack time as a learning opportunity. Some suggestions for doing so included identifying animals, talking about the sounds they made and where they lived, counting and sorting animals, and so on.

If you were unable to join us for Grins & Squiggles, there are a few crafts left in the PAT room (Munson 737) ready for assembly. Our PAT room may be utilized by PAT families during school hours- just stop and check in at the office.

We hope you will all be able to join us for our next Grins & Squiggles- Awesome Autumn! held Tuesday, September 15th from 6:30-7:30.
